Race Information

START The start is at Chiddingly. The race starts at 11:00am. The road to the start and to Chiddingly Village Hall, (to pick up your Pre-Entry Race Number and for On the Day Entries), is opposite the Six Bells Pub. The Village Hall will open at 9:30am, Entries on the day will be taken up to 10:30am. Pre-entry race number pick-up will be available up to 10:40am. See Location Map below.

FINISH The finish is at the Kings Head Pub, East Hoathly. Many runners park their vehicle in Eest Hoathly, (see East Hoathly map below for car parking), and then run either 2 miles along the Wealdway long distance footpath to the race start at Chiddingly (see Wealdway footpath map below), or run the 5km route in reverse along the roads to the race start.

KIT A kit van will leave the start at 10:55 am. Ideal for your warm-up top, if you parked your car at East Hoathly and ran to the start for your warm-up. See the Wealdway footpath map below, to shorten your warm-up from East Hoathly.

RACE NUMBER Race numbers will NOT be sent out in the post prior to race day. Therefore, ALL PRE-ENTRY RACE NUMBERS MUST BE COLLECTED ON THE MORNING OF THE RACE from race registration, located in Chiddingly Village Hall, next to the race start.

Please wear your race number VISIBLE ON THE FRONT of your vest/shirt. VERY IMPORTANT as we are using bar code scanners to scan your race number again this year. At the end of the race you can exchange your number at the Kings Head Pub in East Hoathly for your free pint of 1648 Brewing Co. beer or soft drink courtesy of the Kings Head.

HEADPHONES AND MP3 PLAYERS Headphones are now banned outright under the UKA Rules of Athletics. From 1 April 2016 a new rule regarding the wearing of head phones in road races was introduced into the UKA Rules of Competition. "The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic."

PRIZE GIVING The prize giving will take place at 12:15 pm in front of the Kings Head Pub.

PRIZES Jog Shop Brighton vouchers and trophies will be awarded for first three in each category: Male, Female and Age Graded 40+ (Age Graded %)
